MONEY, POWER AND FAME!!!

In other words...nothing relating to Waste of Aces. I am choosing to write about this song next because Jun and I recently received an e-mail from a new fan named Stefan from Sweden

who runs his own ukulele webshop and he wanted to know more about the song. I wish I had a really cool story I could talk about right here but I'm afraid the origins of this song are a bit bland. After listening to a rough cut of the album, I really felt like we needed one more fast song. The question was, what type of fast song? Jun had already written a few fast tunes that were more "modern sounding" and since our sound bounces back and forth between "old-fashioned" sounding tunes, and "modern indy" sounding tunes, I thought I would go "old-fashiony" on this one. I wrote it in about twenty minutes and I think it's a fun little tune, but it's really our resident drummer Damon Pipitone and Adam Henry on the trumpet along with Jun's bass playing that gets the song kicking. It turned out better than I could have imagined. It's in my top three favorite songs on the album and it's funny to me that it was just thrown into the mix at the last minute to provide a little more balance. As far as the lyrics go, I think I was inspired by the show BLIND DATE. Some of the guys on there think they are God's gift to women and they're so utterly clueless it's sometimes painful to watch.

Jeff here...song blog.

So.....I've decided to wave hello the cyber way. Both Jun and I will try to keep you aware of WOA life behind the glitz and glamour of the band. I hope your laughing because that was a joke. YES, I have moved to beautiful Louisville Kentucky to pursue my life-long dream of becoming a satellite cable installation technician. This will of course will make it difficult to perform shows out there is SoCal but don't worry, we will don the stage again many more times, we just can't say when right now.

We often get asked questions about what certain songs mean or what inspired them. Normally, I don't like to answer these questions. However, I thought I would use this blog to write little blurbs about the songs on our latest album because that's how I roll. (I don't really know what that means but I heard someone say it and I thought it sounded cool). So...without further adeux

GOTH GIRL:
I've always had kind of an attraction to goth-type chix but could never pull that look off myself and they seem to stick to their own kind (plus I don't really want to date a girl that can kick my ass). So, this is the lament of a poor computer nerd who knows he has zero chance of hooking up with a GOTH GIRL. CLICK IMAGE TO SEE THE VIDEO!

Today it's cloudy, but it's still a 'Perfect Day'

It's the very first blog post! This one's just a test. A dry run, so to speak.

Our CD Perfect Day is shipped to CD Baby and I am waiting for them to put it up for sale so I can make an official announcement.

I'm going to email Jeff and ask him to contribute to this blog. He's in Kentucky. Why? Maybe he'll write about it and tell you.

I really need to revamp our website. But in order to do it right I need help from web expert pal Martin. I'm flaky. I need to ask him.
